Biography:
My name is Francesca Adams. I have been drawing/painting for fun my whole life. During pandemic, I started doing pet portraits in colored pencil for friends. My goal with every portrait is to capture the personality of a pet. Many of my commissions have been memorials for pets who have already crossed the rainbow bridge. I moved to the valley full time about a year ago with my husband to cook at a local restaurant. We worked in Gothic for a few summers cooking at RMBL and fell in love with this valley. I’m happy to be back for good, and look forward to drawing some of the local pets in the future!

Ultimutt Art Background:
The Gunnison Valley Animal Welfare League (GVAWL) is proud to announce Ultimutt Art. Ultimutt Art will be an ongoing fundraiser which spotlights local Colorado artists, one artist at a time. When an artist is spotlighted, they will donate one of their pieces of artwork for GVAWL to use as a fundraiser and GVAWL in turn will help bring attention to that artist for four weeks. During these four weeks, the public will be able to make donations to GVAWL for a chance to win that artist’s donated piece. At the end of the four weeks, one name will be chosen as the winner! And we hope that the community will show their future support to the artist who so generously donated to help animals in need.
All donations from Ultimutt Art will go towards GVAWL’s current large projects which in March 2024 is replacing the turf in the dog play yards.
Conditions:
The winner of the art piece will have 30 days from the day of notice to contact the artist or GVAWL (the artist for this particular piece) to make arrangements for picking up the donated artwork. If they have not done so after 30 calendar days, the artist will determine whether to pick another name or complete the fundraiser over again. The winner is responsible for picking up the art and if they wish for the item to be shipped, they must cover all of the costs associated with shipping the item.
