Hi!
My name is Bryn and my foster mom and dad think I have made huge progress since coming to stay with them, so they suggested I reintroduce myself to the social media world.
So here are some highlights followed by a bit more detail:
Age: 3
Other Dogs: I do GREAT with other dogs that are bigger than the size of cats. I met a 10-ish pound Dachshund and loved him!
Cats: Absolute “No.” Sorry. We all have our imperfections and that is mine.
Potty Trained: Yes and I know how to use a dog door!
Kids: Because I need a quiet and calm home (see below), I need to be in a home that doesn’t have any children.
Loving/Affectionate: Yes! I love to cuddle almost as I love to be in the same room as you.
Car Rides: Car rides used to scare me so badly, but I am starting to take them daily and am doing better each and every day.
Walks: I walk well on a leash.
Energy Level: I am pretty laid back and don’t require a ton of exercise.
Size: 55-60 lbs
And here I go with some more detail:
When I arrived at my foster home, I was scared of everything: the car, new people, quick movements, my harness getting put on me, my foster dad. New things scared me so badly and my foster family knew that I was just going to need love and patience. I bonded within hours with my foster mom, cuddling with her almost immediately. I wanted to stay by her side all of the time.
But in the few weeks I have been in my foster home, I have made drastic improvement. I go for car rides (although dad has to lift me into the truck), I greet my foster dad when he comes home from work, I trust my family so much more, I don’t have to be with my foster mom all the time, and I have even started playing with my new toy my foster family gave me. I even did great at the vet’s office!
What I need in a home:
– At least one female in the home as I bond quickly (within hours) and strongly with females.
– A male in the home is fine as long as he is quiet and calm and willing to give me a couple of weeks to trust him.
– No kids (I need calm and quiet)
– No cats
– Another dog would be ideal as they teach me how to be a dog.
– I will go for walks but please keep me on a leash. I do get scared and am a flight risk.
– Someone willing to help me adjust.
– I would LOVE to be in a home where someone isn’t gone 40+ hours a week but understand humans need to work.
Please consider giving me a loving home. I deserve it. My foster family says I am a very smart, good girl, who deserves the best of the best. You give me a little time, and I will give you my full devotion and all of my love. I will be your best side kick.
I am perfect for the right person.
