Capone, 2014 Top Dog

Capone, 2014 Top Dog

Gunnison Valley’s new Top Dog is named after a notorious 1930’s gangster, but Capone is actually a gentle, peace-loving soul. He wants to thank his campaign manager, Jennifer Mapstone, and his friend, Jake Pettigrew, who talked him in to running. He’s pretty sure the yard signs put him over the top.

Second place went to little Hazelnut Souffle, who proudly represents the small dog community. She will continue as veterinarian Darby Sullivan’s right paw dog.

The second runner-up, Odin, thanks his best buds Molly and Rob Childerston for giving him an awesome life and paying all his many and varied vet bills!

GVAWL wants to thank the entire community for participating once again in this great event. We especially thank our sponsors, Critter SittersWaggin’ TailsGunnison Valley Veterinary Clinic, and most of all Gunnison Country Times for raising almost $3,000 for homeless animals in the Gunnison Valley. We couldn’t do it without you!
